Signal Check is a free, experimental research prototype. It computes a numeric score from statistical properties of submitted text. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
The score has no independently validated accuracy rate. No false-positive rate is published for it. It may be wrong in either direction, and it may be wrong systematically for particular kinds of writing — including formal, technical, and second-language English prose. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Do not use this score to make decisions about people. It cannot establish who wrote a passage and is not evidence of anything.
